016 - Vase

Known to have been thrown by Frances Hull,
Clem Hull's wife, at the Hull-Santa Fe Pottery in Santa Fe, New Mexico between 1941 and 1942

"I" mark is believed to be an instruction to glaze pot in indigo glaze.

Significance of ink mark vs. incision is not known at this time.

Although Fran did throw pots at Hull-Santa Fe Pottery, her contribution is unknown, although believed not to be terribly significant in terms of volume. Another pot of hers is included in the exhibit established at the Bureau of Standars in Washington, D.C. in 1943.
